5 Stars Fantastic Workout
Great workout with great results. Its also motivating and fun to workout with.

This is certainly one of Gilad’s best workouts!

5 Stars The Gettin Fit In Jerusalem DVD
I first saw the real show on TV during the early ninties. I loved the music the band is awesome (if you like that exotic sounds of middle east). and I also love seeing the part ot the wall there in Jerusalem, I have always wanted to visit and this gives me more os a sence for life in Israel. As usual Gilad is always a good instructor, and the work out is good!!

Doreen from Texas

3 Stars Same formula, different surrounds
Although the workout is recommended for intermediate to advanced exercisers, I found that only 15 minutes or so really got my heart rate up. Nonetheless, the format is typical Gilad. Clear instructions, quite well rounded workout with a warm up, workout, abs and cooldown. I would recommend it to the beginner to intermediate exerciser. I might throw it into my home routine once a fortnight if I felt a bit like a less intense workout.

All that said, Gilad is likeable as an instructor and he keeps you motivated.

3 Stars Typical Gilad!
This is several different workouts from the Bodies In Motion TV show. I was hoping the workout would not be from his shows. The good thing about the DVD is there are no commercials. You do alternate from low impact to high impact aerobics which helps get your heart rate up.Overall, it was a good workout. Nothing new.

5 Stars Just in Time for Uppercut!
This is by far my favorite workout! My husband loves this DVD too, Gilad is great for men or women. How can you not love a guy who can easily transition from jump roping to uppercutting his belly dancer?

The music is not distracting at all in my opinion. The camel is kind of silly, and there may be too much production but I s’pose that is the charm of it. It doesn’t take away from the workout.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Hollywood Hero

November 30th, 2009 by Bodybuilder

Arnold Schwarzenegger Hollywood Hero

Tracing the life of one of cinema’s all-time superstars, Arnold Schwarzenegger: “Hollywood Hero” is a tribute to a man who achieved the American dream. The life story of Arnold Schwarzenegger is amazing but true. It is the tale of a poor Austrian youth who battled the odds, became a megastar and married into one of the most prominent families in modern history. This fascinating program features film clips and interviews with people from Schwarzenegger’s life, including body building mogul Joe Weider, director Ivan Reitman and actors James Coburn, Michael Biehn, Jim Belushi and Penelope Ann Miller.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great Story
Great story about Arnold’s life. This is a must own for any Arnold fan. It makes you appreciate how he rose to the top. He isn’t the greatest actor (you try acting in a foreign language and a see how well you do) but he has an incredible screen presence. It is good to know that Hollywood still has some good guys. Some thing that make him a hero are he donates much of his time and money to charity and runs the Special Olympics etc.

5 Stars Great DVD!
This is NOT a movie, but rather a small biography on Arnold Schwarzenegger. This man has done so much and he is still pretty young (50s I believe). The movie gets you thinking too… A man with little travels to the US, and within a few years he gains worldwide fame. This movie enables you to see Arnold in another way, besides an actor. He appears to be a smart, gentle man who has excelled in everything he’s done in life by working hard and by having a passion for what he does. If you are an Arnold fan, buy this movie.

5 Stars BEST DOCUMENTARY I’VE EVER SEEN
I watch a fair number of documentaries and I must say that “Arnold Scwarzenegger – Hollywood Hero” was a pleasant surprise. My assumption was this was going to be just another run of the mill telling of the life of a superstar. It’s not. Aside from the incredible story that is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s rise to fame, there’s something else at work here that raises this production to another level. By far the storytelling is what makes it a true original.

There is a visual telling here that is quite unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. The director, Todd Baker, uses his camera, clips, photos, and interviews as though they were paint on a canvas. Because what he does is so cutting-edge, it’s hard to explain. Suffice it to say there’s a filmic-on-steroids theme to his storytelling, which is aptly used for this tale of a bodybuilder turned Hollywood powerhouse.

The only other documentary that even comes close to such an original style would be “The Kid Stays in the Picture”, but even the visuals of that don’t pop off the screen in quite the same way as they do with this show.

All in all this is a must-see. Not only for fans of Arnold Scwarzenegger, but for fans of documentaries and fine filmmaking.

3 Stars Fun if you’re an Arnold fan
This is a “grade-B” documentary, but it’s still fun. You get hear old stories from lots of old Arnold friends that you’ve probably never seen before.

5 Stars Great video
I will make it simple. If you are a Arnold fan, this is the video for you. Packed with all kinds of interesting topics.
