                        As a personal trainer, the hardest part of my job is getting clients to stretch. Most find it boring, others feel it&#8217;s a waste of time.  The rest try to do stretches but just have no idea what they are actually aiming for or where they should be feeling it.  90% of the people I see stretching (instructors included) have no idea what muscle they are stretching and don&#8217;t know where they should be &#8220;feeling it&#8221;.  This video is very simple, undecorated and relaxing. Karen does an impeccable job of cueing the stretches both physically and verbally. You always know exactly what you are stretching, where you should feel it and how hard to push. She also shows how to modify the stretches and sticks with a number of very effective, but not risky stretches. Her voice is soothing, not jarring and the music is simple and quiet.  I have viewed some other videos that demonstrate strethes 75% of my clients couldn&#8217;t even begin to get into. Karen steers clear of that.  Yes, aesthetically, it is an &#8220;older&#8221; video, but newer is not always better.  I give this one my highest recommendation. </p>
<p> <strong style="color:#ffd000; background-color:#fafafa">4 Stars</strong>  <em> For simple routine of basic stretches</em><br />
                        Everyone wrote great reviews about how this DVD looks &#038; the movements. I just want to add that the pace is very slow &#038; thorough, the music is very soft.<br />
<br />All these stretches can be done by even many people who are inflexible. Those who are flexible should look elsewhere.</p>

                        This routine lives up to its title &#8211; Pure and Simple.  I found this a bit too basic (and boring) even for a beginner.  She has a better strecth routine in later offerings. I returned this DVD, and now I&#8217;m looking for something a little more challenging &#8211; something that makes you feel like you&#8217;ve stretched and exercized when done. </p>
<p> <strong style="color:#ffd000; background-color:#fafafa">2 Stars</strong>  <em> Don&#8217;t force me to watch commercials!</em><br />
                        When you put this DVD in the player, a Karen Voight commercial for her other workout DVD&#8217;s will play for the first minute.  It&#8217;s not that long, but it gets to be very annoying.  There are other fitness DVD&#8217;s like &#8220;Perfect Abs&#8221; that get right to the workout without commercials or medical disclaimers.</p>
<p>The stretching routine is pretty good, but the beginning commercial really gets on my nerves.  I think the Tami Lee stretching DVD may be better. </p>
<p> <strong style="color:#ffd000; background-color:#fafafa">5 Stars</strong>  <em> What It Says</em><br />
                        This is a really good, easy to follow stretching program.  It&#8217;s not yoga, just stretching.  I do a lot of cardio and my flexibility isn&#8217;t great.  I&#8217;m using this video after my cardio workouts and I&#8217;ve also started doing yoga.  My flexibility is definitely getting better and my hips and legs are not as achy after my regular workouts.   </p>

                        This was ok. The exercises themselves were good and quite well explained, but not detailed enough.<br />
<br />I didn&#8217;t mind all the &#8216;comrade ladies&#8217; stuff. It was quite funny.<br />
<br />What let this down for me was that there wasn&#8217;t any structure to it.<br />
<br /> It would have been better if suggestions had been made about how many of each exercise to do and some routines to follow.<br />
<br />I couldn&#8217;t remember half the exercises and I would be able to push myself harder if there was a routine. I don&#8217;t watch it any more. I&#8217;ve bought the &#8216;Lisa Schaffer&#8217; dvd  which I prefer. </p>

                        I am extremely pleased with this item.  It is everything I expected and more.  I also received it rather quickly, which was great because I was anxiously awaiting my new dvd. </p>

                        Even though you don&#8217;t need anyone to coach you, it is more fun with  a coach.  And believe me the results are excellent.  Weight loss and toning can be achieved with dedicated training, and you only need to do it for 15 to 20 minutes a day, 3-5 days a week.<br />
<br />Unlike dumbells it gives you a total body workout with each exercise.  Try it and you&#8217;ll fall in love with this Russian Workout.  The explanations are detailed with anglar visuals so that you can see how it is done from every angle.  Just remember to maintain good stances throughout. </p>

                        I bought this for 2 of my women friends who are beginning to use the Kettlebells. Within the first few minutes of viewing it with them I realized I had wasted my money and they fully agreed. My thought had been to get them a simple basic KB presentation.  This was a mistake. Thye &#8220;hated&#8221; Pavel&#8217;s posturing, could see the obvious stilted &#8220;comrade&#8221; nonsense, and the poor quality instruction. I would suggest that you save your capitalist dollars &#8220;comrades&#8221; and invest them in Steve Cotter&#8217;s Encyclopedia of Kettlebell Lifting DVDs. That way you will have a clear, detailed American experience of proper and safe kettlebell training. My women friends are devouring the Encyclopedia and progressing rapidly in their KB skills.  </p>

                        I bought &#8220;From Russia with Tough Love&#8221;, (book and DVD) and &#8220;The Russian Kettlebell Challenge&#8221; book only (but will likely get the DVD, also).  I am a guy even though the &#8220;Russia&#8221; book is ostensibly for the ladies. It makes no difference!  &#8220;From Russia&#8221; hits all the basics but has more toning for legs and core, while KBC has more upper body.  If I could only get one, book or DVD, I would get the &#8220;From Russia&#8221; DVD but maybe that is just me.<br />
<br />  I am an exercise and sport addict and at 58 am holding my own. However, for the last 3 or so years I have been plagued with a very stiff lower back and spasms in my left hip. After one week of doing the kb drills I have no pain whatsoever in the hip and no stiff back when getting out of a car or bed or from sitting!  I have tried Bikram yoga, drugs, stretching and just about everything else. This worked and I think the reason is that it stresses strong, toned and flexible hamstrings, glutes, and lower back.<br />
<br />My wife and I do the exercises together and they are effective and fast, not to mention different from what one gets in a gym.  This stuff really works, that&#8217;s for sure! Note: you do not need heavy kb weights for this discipline to be effective.<br />
<br />Better to start with what you can handle. My wife has an 18#; mine is a 35#, but I use her weight alot and get plenty of challenge. Pavel is Russia&#8217;s gift to the West!    </p>

                        I first saw the real show on TV during the early ninties.  I loved the music the band is awesome (if you like that exotic sounds of middle east). and I also love seeing the part ot the wall there in Jerusalem, I have always wanted to visit and this gives me more os a sence for life in Israel. As usual Gilad is always a good instructor,and the work out is good!!<br />

                        Although the workout is recommended for intermediate to advanced exercisers, I found that only 15 minutes or so really got my heart rate up. Nonetheless, the format is typical Gilad. Clear instructions, quite well rounded workout with a warm up, workout, abs and cooldown. I would recommend it to the beginner to intermediate exerciser. I might throw it into my home routine once a fortnight if I felt a bit like a less intense workout.<br />
<br />All that said, Gilad is likeable as an instructor and he keeps you motivated. </p>

                        This is several different workouts from the Bodies In Motion TV show. I was hoping the workout would not be from his shows. The good thing about the DVD is there are no commercials. You do alternate from low impact to high impact aerobics which helps get your heart rate up.Overall, it was a good workout. Nothing new. </p>

                           This is by far my favorite workout! My husband loves this DVD too, Gilad is great for men or women. How can you not love a guy who can easily transition from jump roping to uppercutting his belly dancer?<br />
<br />   The music is not distracting at all in my opinion. The camel is kind of silly, and there may be too much production but I s&#8217;pose that is the charm of it. It doesn&#8217;t take away from the workout.<br />
